Sound Absorption

The testing shown involves direct-mounting the diffuser to a wall or ceiling, sealing the opening at the diffuser's back. Lay-in grid mounting with an open-air cavity behind the diffuser will improve performance, particularly in the low frequencies. The level of improvement will depend on the cavity depth behind the diffuser.

Shipping and Receiving

Ground shipping: four nested diffusers per box. We will palletize the boxes for larger orders to save on shipping costs.

Warranty:

We provide a two-year warranty on our products against any manufacturing defects, starting from the installation date. However, this warranty will only be valid if the materials are correctly used and installed per our written instructions. If you need a warranty tailored to a specific job, please email us, and we'll gladly provide one.

Installation

Direct Wall or Ceiling Mount

Before you start:

• Have your acoustical spec ready for the correct placement for your room

Tools to have on hand:

• Pencil
• Level
• Screwdriver, drill 
• Mechanical fasteners (not included) based on the material you are mounting the diffusers (ie, drywall screws for drywall)
• Drywall anchors, if needed

Instructions: 

• Mark the outer edges of the diffuser layout on the wall or ceiling. 
• Mark locations on the perimeter flange of each diffuser where you will pre-drill holes based on the fasteners you intend to use. We suggest eight locations for fasteners- one in each corner and one at each midpoint. Allow 1/8" from edge of diffuser for hole location.
• Predrill holes at the marked locations.
• If using drywall anchors, hold the diffuser in place on the desired surface and mark the pre-drilled hole locations on the surface. Then, install the anchors in these locations.
• Mount each diffuser to the wall or ceiling. NOTE: For best performance, rotate each diffuser 90 degrees, as shown below. 

Lay-in-grid

The diffusers have a 15/16" perimeter flange designed to be dropped into an existing 2'x2' drop-tile ceiling grid. Lay the diffusers into the grid. Be sure to rotate adjacent diffusers 90 degrees from each other for best performance, as shown above.
